1. Measuring the voltage of the horn terminal
(Fig.14)
• Key switch : ON
• Horn switch: ON
12 V : Normal. Inspect the
horn.
Other than 12 V : Check for continuity.
Inspect the horn switch
2. Inspection of horn switch (Fig.42)
• Turn ON/OFF the horn switch and check if
the pointer of the tester shakes.
Shaking : Normal
Not shaking : Faulty
3. Inspection of horn (Fig.43)
• Apply 12 V between the horn terminals and
check if the horn sounds.
Sounding : Normal
Not sounding : Faulty
4. Continuity check (Fig.44)
• Disconnect the coupler
• Key switch: OFF
(1) Check for continuity between the horn
coupler (1) and body earth.
(2) Check for continuity between the horn
coupler (1) and horn switch coupler 2.
(3) Check for continuity between the horn
coupler (1) and fuse BOX10A.
