The IO-Link communications cycle depends on the baud rate of the IO-Link devices, as described
below.
Refer to the instruction manuals for individual IO-Link devices for the IO-Link device baud rates.
The IO-Link communications cycle depends on whether the minimum cycle time of the IO-Link devices
is less than or equal to 1.1 ms or greater than 1.1 ms, as described below.
• When the minimum cycle time of the IO-Link devices is less than or equal to 1.1 ms
IO-Link communications cycle is 1.1 [ms] and does not change.
• When the minimum cycle time of the IO-Link devices is greater than 1.1 ms
The IO-Link communications cycle = (Minimum cycle time of the IO-Link devices*)
The IO-Link communications cycle will be as described below.
The IO-Link communications cycle = (Minimum cycle time of the IO-Link devices*) [ms]
* You can check the minimum cycle times for the IO-Link devices in the instruction manuals for the IO-Link
devices.
Or, you can place the CX-ConfiguratorFDT online and check the cycle time in Read Device Configuration in the
Diagnosis Tab Page for the IO-Link Master Unit, as shown in the following screen capture.
