IMPORT
Use: Mouse, TRACK menu
You can import a track from another project recorded using the same
sampling rate and recording mode as the current project.
When you select IMPORT, the VS-2000 scans the selected drive and presents you a list
of all projects that contain importable audio.
Select the desired project and press F5 (OK). On the screen that appears, you can select
the track you want to import, and the track in the current project on which you want to
place the imported audio.
To return to the main IMPORT screen, press F1 (<<BACK).
Why You’d Use Region IMPORT
IMPORT lets you share favorite recordings between projects, or create new projects
based on previously recorded source materials.
SOURCE
Turn the Time/Value dial to select the track you want to import.
DESTINATION
Turn the Time/Value dial to select the track in the current project on which you want to
place the imported audio.
You can import CDR-mode disk-image audio (Page 356) into any project, regardless of
its sampling rate to unused V-Tracks belonging to the mastering tracks. CDR-recorded
audio is always stereo, so it’s imported to both tracks—when you select a destination
track, its odd/even partner is also selected.
During importing, if there’s already audio on the track, the VS-2000 asks if you want to
append the imported audio to its end or replace what’s there. If you choose to append
the audio, it’s placed two seconds after the audio already on the track.
