Radiator
Removal
Before starting work, ensure the motorcycle
is
stabilised
and
adequately supported. This will help
prevent
it
from falling
and
causing injury to the
operator or damage to the motorcycle.
1.
Remove the rider's seat.
2.
Disconnect
the
battery, negative (black) lead first.
Cooling
1.
Bottom radiator hose
2.
Water pump outlet hose
3.
Water pump

Remove both radiator side covers.
Do
not
remove
the coolant pressure cap when the
engine
is
hot.
When
the engine
is
hot,
the coolant
inside the radiator
is
hot and also under pressure.
Contact with hot coolant will cause scalds and skin
damage.
3.
Drain the coolant
as
described
on
page
12.6.
4.
Disconnect
the
top hose and bypass hose from
the thermostat housing
and
head respectively.

Disconnect the water pump hoses at the radiator.

Remove the lower radiator
cover.
