CRANKSHAFT TONE WHEEL ACQUISITION
PROCEDURE
•
Perform the cycle "Reset wheel tooth
values" with the PADS diagnostic tool;
•
Warm the engine to 80°C;
•
With the gearbox in neutral, the side
stand extended and the vehicle com-
pletely stationary, throttle up to over
8000 rpm at least three times;
•
Switch the ignition off and wait at least
one minute (Power Latch)
CAUTION
THE VEHICLE SPEED MUST BE 0 km/h THROUGHOUT
THE CRANKSHAFT TONE WHEEL ACQUISITION PROCE-
DURE.
IN CERTAIN CASES, EVEN MINOR VIBRATION PRO-
DUCED BY THE ENGINE (WITH GEARBOX IN NEUTRAL,
SIDE STAND EXTENDED AND NO SPEED READING ON
INSTRUMENT PANEL) MAY CAUSE THE PROCEDURE TO
FAIL. IN THIS CASE, THE PROCEDURE MUST BE REPEA-
TED.
