Setting the Relay Memory Box
A Relay Memory Box is a memory box that enables documents received from a number of
parties to be relayed to specied destinations via this machine.
You can set the relay start time, and relay the documents in the memory box all at one time.
(See ‘Using the Relay Memory Box, on p. 3-11.)
You can specify the following items for a Relay Memory Box.
An asterisk (*) indicates the default setting.

Memory Box Name Sets the memory box name. Relay*
You can enter up to 24
alphanumeric characters.
Password Sets a password to control the memory box.
It is necessary to enter the password in
order to change the contents of the memory
box or to print documents received in the
memory box, for example.

A one to seven-digit
number
Subaddress Sets an ITU-T standard subaddress. This is
necessary for distinguishing a Relay
Memory Box from other memory boxes.
Required
Numbers, #,
, and spaces
can be used (up to 20 digits).
RX Password
Sets an ITU-T standard password. If a
password has been set, the password added
to the received documents is compared with
the set password. If the passwords do not
match, the documents are not received.

digits).
Relay Sending Destination Sets the destination to which the received
documents in the memory box are to be
relayed.
Specify the destination
using the Address Book or
Coded Speed Dialing.
Org. Relay Unit Restriction Sets whether or not to restrict the relay
source machines from which documents
can be received.
On, Off*
If “On” is selected, species the telephone
numbers of the relay source machines from
which you want to receive documents.
Documents can only be received from the
set relay source machines.
Specify the destination
using the Address Book or
Coded Speed Dialing.
Print RX Document Sets whether or not to print the received
documents using this machine.

TX Relay Report Sets whether or not to inform the parties
from whom the documents were received of
the results of relaying the documents to
another destination.

Relay Start Time Sets the starting time for relaying the
documents. Once you make this setting, the
documents in the memory box are relayed
automatically at the specied time.
