The GNX4s Footswitches perform different functions specific to the Mode that has been selected. Listed
below are descriptions of each footswitchs function within each of the three Modes.
Preset Mode - Green
Bank Up Footswitch - Selects the next bank of presets. Pressing and holding this
footswitch scrolls up through banks. When a new bank is selected the 1 through 5
footswitch LEDs will strobe left to right prompting the user to select a preset. If a
preset is not selected within 5 seconds,the GNX4 returns to the currently selected
bank and preset. Pressing and holding both the Bank Up and Bank Down
Footswitches together will temporarily enable both footswitches to navigate through
the GNX4s drum patterns or user MIDI files and MP3s stored on an optional CF card.
Bank Down Footswitch - Selects the previous bank of presets. Pressing and holding
this footswitch scrolls down through banks. When a new bank is selected the 1
through 5 footswitch LEDs will strobe left to right prompting the user to select a
preset. If a preset is not selected within 5 seconds, the GNX4 returns to the currently
selected bank and preset.Pressing and holding both the Bank Up and Bank Down
Footswitches together will temporarily enable both footswitches to navigate through
the GNX4s drum patterns or user MIDI files and MP3s stored on an optional CF card.
Footswitch 1 - Selects the first preset in the active bank. A second press puts the
GNX4 into Bypass or selects the previous preset if Preset Bounceback is enabled
(see page 22 for more instructions on the Preset Bounceback function). Pressing
and holding Footswitches 1 and 2 together will enable or disable the Drums/MP3
Sync button in the Recorder Panel.
Footswitch 2 - Selects the second preset within the active bank. A second press puts
the GNX4 into Bypass or selects the previous preset if Preset Bounceback is
enabled (see 22 for more instructions on the Preset Bounceback function).
Pressing and holding Footswitches 1 and 2 together will enable or disable the
Drums/MP3 Sync button in the Recorder Panel. Pressing and holding
Footswitches 2 and 3 together will bypass the GNX4s effects and amp models.
Footswitch 3 - Selects the third preset in the active bank. A second press puts the
GNX4 into Bypass or selects the previous preset if Preset Bounceback is enabled
(see 22 for more instructions on the Preset Bounceback function). Pressing
and holding Footswitches 2 and 3 together will bypass the GNX4s effects and
amp models. Pressing and holding Footswitches 3 and 4 together accesses the Tuner.
Footswitch 4 - Selects the fourth preset in the active Bank. A second press puts the
GNX4 into Bypass or selects the previous preset if Preset Bounceback is enabled
(see 22 for more instructions on the Preset Bounceback function). Pressing
and holding Footswitches 3 and 4 together accesses the Tuner. Pressing and
holding Footswitches 4 and 5 together will change the Footswitch Modes.
Footswitch 5 - Selects the fifth preset in the active Bank. A second press puts the
GNX4 into Bypass or selects the previous preset if Preset Bounceback is enabled
(see page 22 for more instructions on the Preset Bounceback function). Pressing
and holding Footswitches 4 and 5 together will change the Footswitch Modes.
