LABEL/SYMBOL PURPOSE/MEANING LOCATION
Identification and Rating Plate Manufacturer's name and
address
Date of manufacture
Model and serial numbers
Electrical ratings
Rear of console near power

Type/Class Label Used to indicate the degree of
safety or protection.
IP Code (IPX8) Indicates the degree of
protection provided by the
enclosure per IEC 529. IPX8
indicates drip proof.
Footswitch
Equipment Type BF (man in
the box symbol) IEC 878-02-
03 indicates B Type
equipment having a floating
applied part.
Probe connectors and PCG

Equipment Type CF (heart in
