4.35 Fifth Wheel
Tools required: 13 mm wrench
Ratchet
Extension
Scissor jack
Removal
1. Set the brakes.
2. Raise the bed to its highest position.
Unplug the bed from its power source. Failure to do so could cause
personal injury or equipment damage.
3. Unplug the bed from its power source. Let the bed sit for 60 seconds for the
battery to time out.
4. Use the scissor jack to raise the bed high enough to remove the fifth wheel.
5. Remove the screws (A), washers (B) and locknuts (C) from the fifth wheel
(D).(see figure 4-45 on page 4-106)
Use correct lifting techniques. Failure to do so can cause personal
injury or equipment damage.
6. Remove the fifth wheel (D).
