Preventive Maintenance
WARNING:
Only the facility-authorized personnel should service the CareAssist®
and CareAssist® ES Bed. Servicing performed by unauthorized
personnel could result in personal injury or equipment damage.
The CareAssist® and CareAssist® ES Bed should be subject to an effective
maintenance program. This will ensure the long life and productivity of the
CareAssist® and CareAssist® ES Bed and help to reduce downtime due to
excessive wear failures.
An annual service of the bed is advised in order to maintain its characteristics
and performance.
Every 3 years, the batteries should be replaced by a facility-authorized
maintenance personnel.
Every 5 years, the bed exit tape switches should be replaced by a facility-
authorized maintenance personnel.
