7.7 Monitoring
Various monitoring functions protect the drive from impermissible operating conditions.
If a monitoring function is activated,
l the corresponding reaction is triggered. (

l
a digital output is set, if it is assigned to the corresponding reaction.
l the indication is entered in position 1 in the history buffer. (

7.7.1 Reactions
The controller reacts on four different operating faults:
l TRIP (highest priority)
l Message
l FAIL-QSP
l Warning
l Off=no reaction (lowest priority)
For some operating faults, you can determine the controller reactions

TRIP
l Switches the power outputs U, V, W to a high resistance until TRIP is reset
l The drive is idling (no control!).
l After TRIP reset the drive moves to its setpoint along the set ramps. (

Message
l Switches the power outputs U, V, W to a high resistance as long as the fault is active.
l Short-term fault $ 0.5 s
– The drive is idling (no control!), as long as the fault is active.
– If the fault is eliminated, the drive moves to its setpoint with maximum torque.
l Long-term fault  0.5 s
– The drive is idling (no control!), as long as the fault is active.
– Controllers are reset.
– Position setpoint = act. position
Danger!
The drive restarts automatically after the fault has been eliminated.
Warning
l The drive operates under control.
Off
l No reaction on operating faults! Monitoring is deactivated.
Stop!
Switched-off monitoring functions can destroy the drive.
