134 AFP-3030 Programming Manual — P/N DOC-01-032:A 26/06/2015
Smoke Control Station Programming Basic Programming: Smoke Control Defaults
H.3 Basic Programming: Smoke Control Defaults
Programming an annunciator as a smoke control device will automatically program the following
settings. These settings can be modified via VeriFire Tools using the Smoke Control Wizard. Refer
to the VeriFire Tools help file for additional information.
FAN NAME: Each fan will have a user programmable label (up to 20 characters). The Default
label will match the Annunciator Board Label that can be programmed via Point Programming
(refer to
Section 3.4.6 on page 66).
FAN START POINT: Address of the relay module associated with starting the fan for the SCS
annunciator.
FAN STOP POINT: Address of the relay module associated with stopping the fan for the SCS
annunciator.
FAN STATUS: Address of the monitor module used to monitor whether the fan is on or off.
DUCT DETECTOR ZONE (ZLduct): General zone of the duct detector(s) which monitor the
air quality for the fan. If using a Tracking Non-fire type duct detector, use the duct detector zone
(CBE position 1 of the associated duct detector) for this setting. If using a duct detector zone, then
a logic zone will be defined to track the activation of the duct detector. Default: NxxxZ000
FAN CBE: Program this with the logic equation programming for the fan. This equation will con-
tain CBE programming that will initiate the fan stopping or starting. Default: NxxxZ000
LATCHING FIRE MODE: Select Yes or No to defines whether or not the start relay (pro-
grammed in FAN START POINT) will remain latched when an alarm occurs. If set to Yes, a system
reset will not affect SCS operation. Default: No
DELAY FAULT STATUS: Delay fault status reporting to the panel for current monitoring relays.
(Select 0 to 180 seconds) Default: 35 seconds
USE SINGLE START/STOP: Select Yes or No to define whether or not a single relay module
address will be used to start and stop the fan. Default: No
ACTIVE ON CBE: Select START or STOP. If set to START, the FAN START POINT will be
activated when the FAN CBE goes active. If set to STOP, the FAN STOP POINT will be activated
when the FAN CBE goes active. Default: Start
H.4 Basic Programming: General and Logic Zones
When using smoke control on the AFP-3030, General Zone and Logic Equation programming is
required for some configurations.
General Zones
The Duct Detector Zone is defined as a general zone used by one or more duct detectors, if duct
detectors are being utilized in the system. The Duct Detector Zone should be programmed with
Non-resettable Control, Silenceable, and Precedence Participation set to NO.
When using duct detectors and a Duct Detector Zone, logic zone programming may be required to
stop and stop the fan, depending on configuration settings.
Logic Zones
Two to three logic zones are required when using duct detectors in the Smoke Control system.
Basic programming of the ZLduct, ZLstart, and ZLstop logic zones are defined below. Refer to the
Section H.6 on page 136 for configuration information.
ZLduct = DEL(00:01:00,**.**.**,NOT(Zxxx)), where the first time is the extent of
delay time and Zxxx is the duct detector zone.
ZLduct will be the first CBE zone of the duct detector.
