3.1 General requirements
Mounting options
SIMOTION D410‑2 comes in two designs:
●
Mounting on the Power Module in blocksize format (mounted use).
● Mounting on a mounting plate (detached use).
Open components
SIMOTION D410‑2 is an open device! This means, you can only install the modules in
housings, cabinets or electrical equipment rooms. These may only be accessible via key or
tool. Housings, cabinets, or electrical equipment rooms may only be accessed by trained or
authorized personnel. An external fire protection casing is required.
DANGER
Danger to life from energized parts
Death or serious injury will result if energized parts are touched.
Turn off and lock out all power supplying this device before working on this device.
Note
The
components must be protected against conductive contamination, e.g. by installing them
in a control cabinet with degree of protection IP54 according to IEC 60529 or NEMA 12.
If conductive contamination can be excluded at the installation site, a lower degree of cabinet
protection may be permitted.
