1.8 Removing and installing front seat belt
buckle (4-door)
Note
Removal and installation is described for the left vehicle side.
Follow same instructions for removal and installation of the belt
buckle on the right side as appropriate.
1.8.1 Removing
– Attach seat repair stand -VAS 6136- to engine and gearbox
support -VAS 6095- .
– Remove front seat ⇒ page 260 .
– Secure seat to seat repair stand -VAS 6136- .
– Move seat to frontmost position.
– Disconnect wiring harness from seat frame, if part of original
equipment.
– Remove bolt -1- (20 Nm).
Note
♦
The bolt is microencapsulated and must be renewed each time it is loosened.
♦
Before a new bolt is installed, the thread of the corresponding nut must be cleaned.
– Pull belt buckle -2- out of mounting in seat rail -arrow-.
