6 Crash sensors
6.1 Removing and installing front door crash
sensors (Golf 2004 ▸)
Note
Removal and installation are described for the right vehicle side.
Follow same instructions for the left side as appropriate.
6.1.1 Removing
WARNING
Observe the general safety regulations when working on air‐
bag, belt tensioner and battery isolator units (pyrotechnic com‐
ponents) ⇒ page 90
– Disconnect vehicle battery ⇒ Rep. Gr. 27 .
– Remove door outer panel ⇒ Rep. Gr. 57 .
– Disconnect wiring harness -1- from crash sensor -3-.
– Remove the two bolts -2- (2.5 Nm).
