1.28 Removing and installing seat (electric)
base
Removal and installation of the seat base is described for the front
left seat frame. Apply the same instructions for removal and in‐
stallation on the front right seat frame as appropriate.
1.28.1 Removing
– Attach seat repair stand -VAS 6136- to engine and gearbox
support -VAS 6095- .
– Remove front seat ⇒ page 260 .
– Secure seat to seat repair stand -VAS 6136- .
– Remove right side trim on seat ⇒ page 276 .
– Remove left side trim on electrically adjustable seat
⇒ page 267 .
– Remove bar and operating lever for front seat ⇒ page 275 .
– Remove front seat drawer mounting ⇒ page 271 .
– Remove front seat backrest ⇒ page 281 .
– Remove cover and padding, front seat cushion ⇒ page 309 .
– Unscrew bolts -1- and -2- on right.
– Remove bolt -3- in rear area.
Note
Bolt -3- points from inside out when installed.
– Remove bolt -4- in front area.
– Release seat pan -5- from longitudinal seat adjustment -6-.
