3 Press the main power switch to the [ | ] position to switch the main power on.
The <Main Power> indicator lights up on the control panel.
4 Close the front cover.
Switching the Power On
The following describes how to switch the power on.
To warm up and to be ready to copy or print after switching the power on, the machine
takes approximately 30 seconds when the HDD is not installed, or approximately 32
seconds when the HDD is installed. This may take more time depending on your machine
configuration.
Switch the power off at the end of the day or when not using the machine for an extended
period of time.
Also use the Energy Saver feature to save power consumption while the machine is not in
use.

If the power is switched off, all the services of the machine will stop. When using the machine throughout the
day for jobs such as receiving faxes, do not switch the power off.
1 Press the push-button power switch to switch the power on.
