1.8 Service Requirements
Personnel Requirements
WARNING!
Maintenance work may only be carried out by authorized service technicians!
Maintenance work may only be carried out by service technicians who have been trained, instructed and
authorized by MAQUET.
Maintenance work carried out by unqualified service technicians may lead to injury of the service
technician, patient or other persons or may lead to damage to the device.
Unauthorized opening of the device will void the warranty.
To the Service Technician
If you detect considerable discrepancies between the device and these documents, contact MAQUET for
further information.
We reserve the right to modify the device without changing this document or informing the user.
Only original MAQUET spare parts must be used. PCBs must always be stored in the original packaging for
sensitive electronic components.
Components on PCBs may not be replaced. The PCBs may only be used as equipped and tested units.
Additional information on the PCBs in this manual is intended purely for error diagnosis.
1.9 Service Equipment
NOTE
Only use
calibrated
measuring devices for service work.
The following tools are required for carrying out maintenance work.
Standard Tools
A. Hand tools (basic equipment)
B. Laptop (with Windows 7, a USB connection and a network card)
C. ESD protective equipment (protective mat, earthing wrist band and adapter)
D. Universal testing device for testing electrical safety
E. Multimeter (for troubleshooting)

The CARDIOHELP service tool box can be ordered at MCP-HTSC. You will find ad-
ditional information in the CARDIOHELP spare parts list.
Every service technician is responsible for their equipment.
