4.3 Replacing Fan Drive

WARNING!
Faulty installing and failures could be increase the blood temperature of the patient.
WARNING!
To finish the task, the following steps must be carried out in order to ensure error-free use.
n Check the airstream of the fan drive.
n Carrying out the inspection (⇨ "Inspection", page 33).
1 Disconnect the CARDIOHELP from the external power supply.
2 Remove the batteries (⇨ "Replacing the Batteries", page 67).
3 Disassemble the fan guards.

4 Disassemble the fans.
5 Disconnect the fans.
6 Reconnect the new fans.
7 Assemble the fans with a force of 0.3 Nm and Loctite 270.
CAUTION!
n Make sure the flow direction of the fans is right. The airstream must guide outside.
n The flow direction is labeled with an arrow at the frame of the fan.
8 Assemble the fans with a force of 0.5 Nm and Loctite 270.
9 Carry out a complete inspection (⇨ "Inspection", page 33).
u Fan drive replaced.
u Inspection after repair has been carried out.
