3.4 Electrical Safety Test
WARNING!
Avoid risk of injury.
The electrical safety check must be carried out after each time the device is opened!

Follow the manufacturer's Instructions for Use of the test unit.

Observe the limit values in the service protocol.
CAUTION!
Do not hold the device in your hand during testing. Make sure that the device does not make contact with
any equipment or persons during testing.
The testing process is defined in the standard IEC/EN 62353. The use of a universal test unit, e.g.,
“Secutest SIII+ from Gossen Metrawatt” (or equivalent) is required. The permissible limit values are defined
in the service protocol.
3.4.1 Protective Ground Resistance RSL
1 Connect the CARDIOHELP with the power supply cord used by the customer to the universal test unit.
2 Use the universal test unit to measure the protective ground
resistance.

3 Use the measuring probe to contact all conducting parts, which could be affected in case of a
malfunction.
4 Move the power supply cord of the CARDIOHELP during measurement.
5 Enter the measured results into the service protocol.
