3.4.2 Protective Ground Resistance Power Plug
1 Disconnect the CARDIOHELP from the power supply cord.
2 Connect the power supply cord used by the customer to the universal test unit.
3 Use the universal test unit to measure the protective ground
resistance power plug at the PE pin.
Measurement at the PE pin
4 Enter the measured results into the service protocol.
u Protective ground resistance power plug - passed/failed/N/A.
3.4.3 Insulation Resistance RISO
WARNING!
Avoid risk of an electric shock.
The insulation resistance measuring is carried out up to 500 V DC. Do not touch device during
measurement.
1 Connect the CARDIOHELP with the power supply cord used by the customer to the universal test unit.
2 Switch on the CARDIOHELP.
3 Use the universal test unit to measure the insulation resistance.
4 Measure the insulation resistance with the measuring probe.
Measuring point: Equipotential bonding pin.
5 Enter the measured results into the service protocol.
u Insulation resistance - passed/failed.
3.4.4 Equipment Leakage Current IGER
WARNING!
Check total leakage current!
The leakage current must be tested with all jointly connected devices.
NOTE
Always use the direct method for measuring the device leakage current.
WARNING!
Risk of electric shock.
Protective grounding is disrupted during measurement. There is a risk of electric shock.
1 Set up the CARDIOHELP with insulation.
2 Connect the CARDIOHELP with the power supply cord used by the customer to the universal test unit.
3 Use the universal test unit to measure the leakage current.
4 Start the device under full load.
HLS test circuit connected (⇨ "Connecting the HLS Module", page 33).
Speed 5000 rpm.
5 Use the measuring probe to contact all conducting parts which could be affected in case of a
malfunction.
6 Measure the leakage current.
