Device Control Command Set
Command Sets
Command sets divide the printer commands into various categories. Each
command set provides all the necessary controls for its functional area. These
command sets are:

Device Control Command Set
The following commands are contained in the device control command set:
Device-Control Commands are processed by the printer for controlling basic
device operations, error reporting and recovery, constructing logical pages on
the physical medium, and managing the Acknowledge protocol.
Before the host program sends the Begin Page command to begin defining a
page to be printed, it should establish the printing environment in which the
page is to be printed. The commands with which the host program controls
printing include the following:
