3. Performoneofthefollowing:
WheelchairswithoutFormulaPTOPlus‐Removetheseat.RefertoRemoving/
InstallingorTiltingtheSeatAssemblyonpage 35.
WheelchairswithFormulaPTOPlus‐Tilttheseatback.RefertoRemoving/
InstallingorTiltingtheSeatAssemblyonpage 35.
4. Removethetopshroud.RefertoRemoving/InstallingtheShroudsonpage 88.
5. Ifnecessary,disconnectrightandleftmotorleadstoallowaccesstothefrontofthe
batterytray.
6. Disconnectthefrontbatteryfromcontroller(REDconnector).RefertoFIGURE 11.2.
7. Moveasidethemotorleadsandcontrollercabletoallowunobstructedaccesstothe
frontofthebatterytray.
8. Disconnecttherearbatteryfromthefrontbattery(REDandBLACKconnectors).Refer
toFIGURE 11.2.
9. Ifnecessary,disconnectthewiringharnessfrombatteries.RefertoConnecting/
DisconnectingtheBatteryWiringHarnessonpage 106.
10. Unfastentheretainingstrapthatsecuresthetwobatteriesinthebatterytray.
NOTE:PerformthissectionononebatteryatatimestartingwiththeFRONTbattery.Repeat
STEP10toremoveremainingbatteryfrombatterytray.
11. Performoneofthefollowingtoremovethebatteryfromthebatterytray:
BatteriesWithBuiltinLiftingStrap‐Usebuiltinliftingstraptoremovethebattery
fromthebatterytray(Detail“A ofFIGURE 11.1).
BatteriesWithoutBuiltinLiftingStrap‐Usethebatteryliftingstraptoremovethe
batteryfromthebatterytray(Detail“B”ofFIGURE 11.1).
Connecting/Disconnecting the Battery Wiring Harness
NOTE:Forthisprocedure,refertoFIGURE 11.3onpage108.
