Adjusting the Back Angle
WARNING
Wheelchairs with TRRO Only - Adjusting the back angle from the factory setting
will void TRRO compliance. After adjusting the back angle, DO NOT transport an
occupied wheelchair in a motor vehicle of any kind. The wheelchair may only be
transported in a motor vehicle while unoccupied, and will be considered TRBKTS.
NOTE:Forthisprocedure,refertoFIGURE 4.15.
1. Loosen,butDONOTremove,thetwolowerhexscrewssecuringthecanebracketsto
thebackcanes.
2. Removethetwoupperhexscrews,washersandlocknutssecuringthecanebrackets
tothebackcanes.
3. Aligntheuppermountingholesinthebackcaneswiththedesiredmountingholesin
thecanebrackets(Detail“A”).
4. Installthetwoupperhexscrews,washersandlocknutstosecurethecanebracketsto
thebackcanes.
5. Torquethelocknutsonupperandlowerhexscrewsto13ft‐lbs±20%.
