4.2.5 Interaction with compensation equipment
l The controllers take up a very low fundamental reactive power from the supplying AC mains.
Therefore compensation is not necessary.
l If the controllers are operated at mains with compensation, this equipment must be used with
chokes.
– For this, contact the supplier of the compensation equipment.
4.2.6 Specification of all cables used
l The cables must comply with the required approvals of the application site
(e.g.UL).
l The prescribed minimum cross-sections of PE conductors must be maintained in all cases.
The cross-section of the PE conductor must be at least as large as the cross-section of the
power connections.
l The screening quality of a cable is determined by
– a good screen connection
– a low screen resistance
Only use screens with tin-plated or nickel-plated copper braids!
Screens of steel braid are not suitable.
– For the overlapping degree of the screen braid:
A min. of 70 % to 80 % with an overlapping angle of 90 
