** If Key Mode is set to Standard, since the “off” keys are re-mapped to keys within the se-
lected scale, when you press an “off” key its target key will light up (fully lit or white, depend-
ing on the key), showing you which note was effectively triggered.
Note that if Chord Mode is set to Harmonizer, the notes triggered as part of the chord will also
light up.
When Chord Mode is set to Chord Set:
Type of Key LED in Default
State
LED when Key Triggered
C keys Fully lit White
Other keys Dimly lit Fully lit
This lighting behavior comes on top of the default LED behavior (when SCALE is off).
You can also disable the Light Guide completely. For more information on these topics,
see section ↑15.3, Navigating and Controlling Your Sounds within a Group.
Setting Up Arpeggios on Your Keyboard
On your KOMPLETE KONTROL S-SERIES keyboard:
►
Press ARP to enable or disable the Arp engine.
The ARP button is fully lit when the Arp engine is enabled, otherwise it is dimly lit.
The state of the ARP button and of the Scale and Chord engine is saved globally for the ses-
sion. It is independent of the state of the Arp engine on any controller from the MASCHINE
family. If you close and re-open the Project, if you disconnect and re-connect your keyboard, or
if you switch the focus to another device, the state of the Arp engine and ARP button is reset
to its default value (disabled).
Since your KOMPLETE KONTROL S-SERIES keyboard always controls notes of one par-
ticular Sound, the Arp feature can be used regardless of whether the focused Group is in
Group or Keyboard mode (and the Note Repeat feature is not available as such).
To adjust the Arp parameters and configure the arpeggio you want to use, do the following:
