Charge Voltage Out of

Voltage not equal side-to-side

Cause
Bent or bowed corotron
Photoreceptor drum
is
not seated correctly on
the drum shaft.
Contaminates ozone filter, cooling fans not
operating, air manifold
is
blocked by the
U-
shaped seal near the cleaning blade
Corrective Action
Replace the Charge Corotron
(PL
9.2)
Remove the xerographic module, and check
that
the
drum
is
fully seated
on
the drum shaft
end plates.
Replace the Ozone filter (PL
9.3)
Replace the Cooling Fan (PL
9.3)
Clear the obstruction blocking the manifold.

Voltage fluctuates from 800 to 1300 VDC
I
Voltage
is
constant, but
is
1300 VDC or
higher
Defective corotron, defective photoreceptor
drum, light leak, defective high voltage power
supply
Shorting or arcing Precharge or Detack
Corotron
Ground connection on the electrometer
is
not
connected or
is
not functioning
Failed Precharge or Detack corotron.
Repair or replace the Charge Corotron
(PL
9.2)
Replace the Photoreceptor Drum (PL
9.1)
Ensure that the covers are in place while doing
the electrostatic adjustments.
