Notes and Restrictions on Registering Stored Programs
The following notes and restrictions apply when you register stored programs.
• When storing a program for Tray 5, to ensure that the program does not become corrupted, store both the
paper size and the paper type. If the program becomes corrupted, you cannot select the program.
• If any of the following operations is performed while a program is registered, the stored program may not be
registered or may not work correctly.
– Removing or inserting a paper tray
– Loading paper in the bypass tray
• After the stored program is registered, performing any of the following operations can corrupt the program. If
the program becomes corrupted, you cannot select the program.
– If the stored program has the Watermark feature and the default values of that feature are changed
– If the stored program has an operation for a folder and the passcode for the folder is changed
– If the settings of the control panel are changed
– If the services assigned to the CCuussttoomm buttons are changed
– If any setting is changed for TToooollss >> SSyysstteemm SSeettttiinnggss >> CCooppyy SSeerrvviiccee SSeettttiinnggss >> PPrreesseett BBuuttttoonnss
– If the selection is made from a list of the Address Book or Job Flow Sheet
– If any optional components installed on the printer, such as a finisher, are changed, and the associated
buttons are no longer available
– If the measurement unit, millimeters or inches, is changed
– If a job is selected from the list of the stored jobs in JJoobb SSttaattuuss >> SSeeccuurree PPrriinntt JJoobbss && MMoorree
– Selecting items using the scroll bar
• The following features and operations cannot be registered in Stored Programming:
– Registration and call of a stored program
– A diagnostic request
– System Settings
– The MMeeddiiaa PPrriinntt -- TTeexxtt button on the Services Home screen
– The SSttoorree ttoo UUSSBB button on the Services Home screen
– The NNeettwwoorrkk SSccaannnniinngg, JJoobb FFllooww SShheeeettss, and WWeebb AApppplliiccaattiioonnss buttons on the Services Home screen
– The CCuussttoomm button to which the Network Scanning or Job Flow Sheets service is assigned.
– Buttons that cannot be selected
– The LLaanngguuaaggee button on the Services Home screen
– The SSccrreeeenn BBrriigghhttnneessss button on the Services Home screen
– Scrolling operation while previewing
– The BBrroowwssee button for the Scan to PC service
