Network Scanning
You can use the Network Scanning feature to create job templates on a computer using the Embedded Web Server.
Scanned data is converted to the format specified in a job template, and sends the data automatically to a server.
The device allows you to retrieve job templates automatically that are stored in a server.
When Scan to Home is enabled, an authenticated user can transfer the scanned document to a different
destination, as needed.
STARTING A NETWORK SCAN JOB
1. Load the original document into the document feeder.
2. At the control panel, press the SSeerrvviicceess HHoommee button.
3. Touch NNeettwwoorrkk SSccaannnniinngg.
4. From the list, select a template.
• To view a description of the selected template, touch TTeemmppllaattee DDeessccrriippttiioonn. After viewing the description,
touch CClloossee. Template descriptions are optional.
• To refresh the template list, touch UUppddaattee TTeemmppllaatteess.
5. Adjust scan settings as needed. Refer to Scan Settings.
6. Press the SSttaarrtt button.
