7.8.7. REFITTING THE STANCHION TUBES AND
SLIDERS
• Place the slider in a vice with soft (aluminium) jaws.
• Position the shim (1).
WARNING
Make sure no dirt or objects fall into the slider
or the stanchion.
NOTE Apply a light film of fork oil to the seals and bushes
before assembly.
• Insert the washer.
• Insert the oil seal.
• Insert the retaining ring.
