Verify system health
Verify the system is healthy before proceeding with the upgrade procedure.
Procedure
1. Log in as a sysadmin user.
2. Display the current alerts on the system.
Run the following command:
alerts show current
# alerts show current
No active alerts.
3. Resolve all displayed alerts.
Identify the first empty disk pack in the target enclosure
The DS60 contains four disk packs. Each disk pack is a 15 disk grouping, three disks
wide by five disks deep. Identify the disk pack where the new disks will be installed.
Procedure
1. Display the enclosures and disks installed on the system.
In the output below, row A is located at the front of the chassis. The DS60 has
color coded markings on the front and rear lips of the disk bay to identify each
disk pack.
Run the following command:
disk show state
