16.4 Regulator / Rectifier
CHARGING VOLTAGE INSPECTION
1. Start the engine and adjust the engine speed to 2 900 rpm.
2. Measure the regulated voltage at the 2P coupler by connecting the positive probe of a
voltmeter to the white terminal and negative to black terminal.
Regulated voltage: 14 - 15 V
3. If there is no voltage or low voltage, check following:
- Open circuit in white and black line.
- Charging coil.
- Regulator / rectifier.
- Fuse.
REGULATOR / RECTIFIER
Measure the resistance between the each terminals according to the table below.

STARTER RELAY INSPECTION
Check for continuity between the starter relay A and B terminals.
There should be no continuity.
Connect a 12 V battery across the starter relay C and D terminals.
There should be continuity.
