4.5 Ball control assembly (HRD535 Q /K1 Q /K2 Q - HRA536)
a. Disassembly / Reassembly
1. Remove the drive disc (ch. 4.4).
NOTE:
Before carrying out any operation on the ball control assembly, loosen the
Rotostop cable by loosening the lock nuts of the handle and removing the ball control
assembly return spring.
[1] ROTOSTOP CABLE
ADJUSTMENT: ch. 3.6
DISASSEMBLY: Remove the cable stay.
[2] THRUST WASHER
[3] BALL RETAINER
[4] BRAKE HOLDER SPRING (3)
[5] SPECIAL SCREW, 6 mm (3)
[6] BRAKE DISC
[7] BALL CONTROL ASSEMBLY
REASSEMBLY: Connect the Rotostop cable before securing the brake disc.
[8] SCREW,6x14mm(2)
[9] COLLAR
[10] BALL CONTROL RETURN SPRING
REASSEMBLY: Hook the one end to the ball control plate and the other end on the
collar using the screw driver as shown.

b. Inspection
BALL CONTROL RETURN SPRING
Measure the ball control return spring free length.
Service limit [A] 55.5 mm
Replace the ball control return spring if the free length longer than the service limit.
