Clearance between Piston Ring and Ring Groove
1. Remove carbon from the ring grooves.
2. Insert piston ring into the ring groove. and
measure the clearance with a feeler gauge at
several points.
3. If the clearance exceeds the allowable limit.
replace the piston and piston ring.

1. Using a piston ring compressor and piston, insert
the piston ring into the lower part (least worn-out
part) of cylinder liner.
2. Measure the ring gap with a feeler gauge.
3. If the measurement exceeds the allowable limit,
replace it.

1. Measure the connecting rod small end 1.0. with an
inside micrometer.
2. If the measurement exceeds the allowable limit.
replace it.
