Speed Control Plate
1.
Disconnect
the
1 P connector (1)
between
ignition
unit
and stop switch.
2.
Unscrew
the
speed
control
plate
mounting
screw,
and remove
the
speed
control
plate
(2).

Unit
and Spark Plug
1.
Disconnect
the
high
voltage
cord (3), and remove
the
spark plug (2).
2.
Unscrew
the
ignition
unit
mounting
screws,
and
remove
the
ignition
unit
(1).
(When reassembling)
After
installing
the
ignition
unit,
check
the
clearance
between
the
ignition
unit
core and
rotor
magnet.
(See
page 5-95)

24.5 N·m

Rotor
1.
Unscrew
the
rotor
mounting
nut,
and
remove
starter pulley (1).
2.
Reinstall
the
rotor
mounting
nut
and
tap
its end
with
a plastic hammer, and remove
the
rotor
(2).
3.
Remove
the
woodruff
key
on
the
crankshaft.
(When reassembling)
The tapered section
of
the
rotor
must be free
of
oil
and dust .
Be
sure
to
install
the
woodruff
key
on
the
crankshaft.
Tightening
torque
Rotor
mounting
nut
58.8
to
68.6 N·m
6.0
to
7.0
kgf·m
43.4
to
50.6 ft-Ibs
NOTE
Do
not
apply
shocks
to
the
fins
on
the
rotor.
