Checking Air Cleaner Element
1. Unscrew two wing screws (1), remove the air
cleaner cover (2) and take out the paper and
urethane elements.
2. Paper element (4) :
Blow
the dust off the element from inside with
compressed air. Replace the element with a new
one if it is excessively dirty.
3. Urethane element (3) :
Wash
the element with liquid detergent.
Rinse and dry it well.

Retightening Blade Mounting Screw
A CAUTION
•
To avoid injury, always handle the mower blade
with care.
1. Close the fuel filter cock.
2. Turn the machine sideways with the muffler side
always upward.
3. Wedge a block of wood (1) securely between one
blade and
the housing in such a position that it
will safely hold the blade.
4. Retighten the blade mounting screws (2) to the
specified torque.
5. If the blade mounting screws are worn or broken,
replace them.
