Safety Shield, Safety Shield 2 and Change Lever
1.
Unscrew
the
flange screws, and remove
the
safety
shield (4) and safety shield hangers (5).
2.
Remove
the
safety shield 2 (1).
3.
Pull
out
the
cotter
pin (3), and remove
the
clevis
pin (2).
4.
Tap
out
the
spring pin (6), and remove
the
change
lever (7).

Case
1.
Unscrew
the
plug
(1), and
drain
transmission oil.
2.
Loosen
the
clutch
arm
mounting
bolt
(7),
and
remove the clutch arm (8).
3.
Unscrew
the
screw (3), and remove
the
lock spring
(5) and ball (6).
4.
Unscrew
the
transmission case
mounting
screws
(9), and
open
the
transmission case
so
that
all
gears remain
in
the
right
half
of
the
case.
(When reassembling)
•
Apply
liquid
gasket
(Three
Bond
12080
or
equivalent)
to
the
transmission
case
as
shown
In
the
figure.
Dimension
L:
1.5
to
2.0 mm (0.059
to
0.079 in.)
•
After
applying
liquid
gasket, be sure
to
assemble
the
transmission
case
within
nine
minutes.
• Set
the
clutch
fork
to
the
"Neutral"
position and
install
the
clutch arm
at
a level.
