Commutator Wear
1. Measure the commutator D.D. with an outside
micrometer at several points.
2. If the minimum D.D. is less than the allowable
limit, replace the armature.

1. Check the resistance by ohmmeter between
commutator and armature shaft.
2. If the measurement is less than the allowable limit,
replace the armature.

CHECKING
Charging Coil
1. Disconnect the two 1 P connectors between
charging coil and rectifier.
2. Measure the resistance with an ohmmeter
between the two 1 P connectors.

Rectifier
1. Disconnect the two 1 P Connectors from the
rectifier.
2. Check the resistance with ohmmeter.
3. If the resistace values specified below are not
indicated, replace it.
