1.8 Safety Precautions

Symbol Description
In this service manual, DANGER, WARNING,
CAUTION, NOTICE, and NOTE are used to
alert you of safety and other important issues. The following table explains their meanings.
Familiarize yourself with the meanings of these words before reading this manual.
Symbol and Word Description
Indicates an imminently hazardous situation
which, if not avoided, will result in death or
serious injury.
Indicates a potentially hazardous situation
which, if not avoided, can result in death or
serious injury.
Indicates a potentially hazardous situation
which, if not avoided, can result in minor or
moderate injury.
Indicates a potentially hazardous situation
which, if not avoided, can result in property
damage.
Indicates the important information that helps
you use the system more effectively.
