Connecting to the Network
There are two ways for connecting to the network.
(1) Connecting to a LAN via a network hub.
(2) Directly connecting to a PC without going through a LAN.
Network cable
Use a 10/100Base-TX cable (Category 5 or 5e) for network connection.
Use a shielded network cable to satisfy the EMC standards.
Use a straight cable to connect to a LAN. Use a cross cable to directly connect to a PC.
(1) Connecting to LAN via a network hub
Before connecting to the network
Before connecting to the network, configure network settings correctly in accordance with the configuration of the
network you are going to connect to. Consult the network administrator of your organization for details.
Connect to your network (LAN) via a network hub. Connect the network cable, referring to the following figure.
