6.8.2 Removing the Mini-Wheel Encoder from the Alternate Encoder Holder
When relocating the Mini-Wheel encoder from the alternate encoder holder to the
primary encoder holder, it must first be removed from the alternate encoder holder.
To remove the Mini-Wheel encoder from the alternate encoder holder
1. Loosen the screw that fixes the Mini-Wheel encoder to the alternate encoder
holder (see Figure 6-45 on page 118).

2. Remove the Mini-Wheel encoder from the encoder holder.
3. Loosen the retaining screw of the alternate encoder holder, which is located on
the acoustic wheel mount on the side of the probe cable.
4. Pivot the alternate encoder holder 90° so that the encoder retainer hole is
perpendicular to the RollerFORM’s movement axis (see Figure 6-46 on page 119).
