4.4 Tracing the Scan Guide Lines on the Surface to Inspect
Part of the preparation before commencing an inspection consists in drawing parallel
guide lines on the surface.
These lines will be used as guides for the laser beam to enable you to move the
RollerFORM along a straight path for each one-line scan pass. The index value, or the
space between the lines, can be calculated so that the different one-line scans overlap
or not.
The lines are more easily traced on a clean and dry surface.
To draw the lines on curved or complex surfaces, use a flexible ruler.
