Reference:  Monitoring will stop in the row while the popup input window is being dis-
played. Monitoring will continue in the other rows and any changes in those
words will appear on the screen.
 No other operations can be performed while the popup input window is being
displayed on the screen. (The PT can be controlled from the PC if the PT is
operating.)
2. Press the Release or Force release touch switch in popup input window. A
confirmation message will be displayed in the bottom-left corner of the
screen.
3. Press the Write touch switch to clear the forced status of all bits and timer/
counter Completion Flags in the PC.
If the Clear touch switch is pressed instead of Write, the forced-status clear
operation will be cancelled and the PT will revert to the ordinary binary PV
specification screen.
4. Press the Back touch switch to close the popup input window.
If the Back touch switch is pressed before Write, the forced-status clear op-
eration will not be completed and the PT will restart monitoring with the origi-
nal conditions.
When the following operations are performed at the PC or at the PT (with the
Device Monitor), the Device Monitor display may not properly reflect the force-
set status, force-reset status, or cleared forced status.
• A word displayed with bits that have forced status should be displayed again
after exiting the display.
• A bit that was force-set or force-reset from Device Monitor is cleared from the
PC (In addition to intentional forced-status clear operations, the same forced-
status clear condition can occur by turning the PC OFF or disconnecting
cables.)
• A bit that was force-set from Device Monitor is force-reset from the PC or a bit
that was force-reset from Device Monitor is force-set from the PC.
• The PC is switched from RUN mode to MONITOR or PROGRAM mode with
the Forced Status Hold Bit set to OFF.
Observe the following precautions in addition to the precautions listed above.
• When the PC is in RUN mode, it is not possible to force-set, force-reset, or
clear the forced status of bits.
• Do not force-set or force-reset the status of bits in write-protected areas or
areas where the operation normally cannot be performed.
2-17-6 Using the Continuous Monitor Screen
The continuous monitor screen can be used to display the contents of words in
the DM Area and EM Area.
Reference: A word or bit address that has been specified will remain valid until the PT is
turned OFF or reset. The settings will remain valid even if the Device Monitor
function is closed, so the last valid settings will be displayed the next time that the
Device Monitor function is started.
