7. Apply Loctite

retaining compound to the

outer circumference of the new bearing race (Item 2)

and carefully press the new bearing into the bearing

carrier housing (Item 3).

NOTE: Use care to not allow any of the Loctite

compound to get in the bearing.

8. Wipe the housing clean of any excess compound

and install the snap ring (Item 4).

Bearing Carrier Installation

1. Install drive shaft through the backside of the bearing

carrier.

2. Install the four fasteners (Item 1) that attach the rear

bearing carrier to the trailing arm. Install the (1)

fastener (Item 2) that attaches the upper radius rod

to the bearing carrier. Torque bolts to specification.

NOTE: Use new nuts upon installation of the

rear bearing carrier.

Bearing Carrier to Trailing Arm Bolts:

42 ft-lb (54 Nm)

Radius Rod to Bearing Carrier Fasteners:

40 ft-lb (54 Nm)

3. Apply anti-seize to drive shaft splines.

4. Install rear wheel hub assembly (Item 2), cone

washers (Item 3), and hand tighten the castle nut.

Install washers with domed side out.
