3.5.3 Changing the magnet coils
4 coil terminals
Contactors of frame sizes S0 to S3 have 4 coil terminals.
The advantages of this are as follows:
Variable connection, depending on the amount of space and cable routing
Easier wiring of feeders
The connection options are:
From above with in fuseless configuration with circuit breakers
connected above
From below when fuses are used with an overload relay attached directly
below
Diagonal
Changing the magnet
coils
The magnet coils can be replaced in the case of contactors of frame sizes
S0 to S3.
S0 - AC operation
The following illustration shows the replacement of the magnet coil in frame
size S0 in AC operation:

Use screwdrivers to lever up
the release clips between the
rear and front contactor halves
and remove the front part of
the contactor.
Remove the magnet coil from
the rear half of the contactor.
Push in the new magnet coil,
and put the front section of the
contactor back on again.
Important:
Make sure that the springs
between the magnet coil and
the front contactor half sit
straight on the mounting
