MOVING THE MACHINE
Driving the Machine
Correct operation will result in extending the service life of
each part and component as well as saving fuel and oil.
Always be sure to safely and efficiently operate the
machine while paying attention to the following points.
Precautions for starting to move
1. Perform a thorough walk-around inspection.
Conduct correct start-up procedure.
2. After raising the lift arm, set the lift arms and bucket
in the operating position.
3. Before driving on public roads, set the machine to the
driving position as illustrated to the right.
4. Be sure to press lock ( ) side of control lever lock
switch (1) so that the linkage will not move even if
the control levers are accidentally moved.
5. After starting the engine, be sure to run the engine
at slow idle speed to warm up the machine before
starting to move. Do not depress the accelerator
pedal when starting the engine and idling operation.
Refer to pages 3-11 and 3-12 for the warming up
operation.
