2 Steering wheel looseness
1. Try moving steering wheel up and down and
also right and left to check for excessive loose-
ness.
2. If anything abnormal is found, contact an autho-
rized dealer.
NOTE:
Make sure the lock lever that is used for steering
wheel adjustment is securely locked.
3 Steering wheel operation
1. While driving slowly, make sure that the steering
wheel does not shake and the vehicle does not
pull to one side. Also check for excessive oper-
ating resistance and unsmooth return to the
neutral position.
2. If any abnormal condition is encountered during
the above check, call an authorized dealer for
inspection.
The service brakes are safety-critical parts of the
vehicle. If an inspection reveals any abnormality,
contact an authorized dealer and have the abnor-
mality rectified before you again drive the vehicle.
Driving the vehicle with the abnormality unrectified
could result in a serious accident.
