Refitting the hub cover bearings
- To fit the hub housing bearings, the engine crank-
case and the cover must be heated with the spe-
cial heat gun.
- The three 15 mm bearings must be fitted using
the appropriate tools.
The 42 mm side of the adapter must be turned to-
wards the bearing.
- Refit the driven pulley shaft bearing with a mod-
ular punch as shown in the figure.
- Refit the Seeger ring with the opening facing the
bearing and the new oil guard flush with the crank-
case on the pulley side.

TO FIT THE BEARING ON THE COVER, SUPPORT THE
COVER WITH THE STUD BOLT SET.

IF THE BEARING HAS AN ASYMMETRICAL BALL RETAIN-
ER, PLACE IT SO THAT THE BALLS ARE VISIBLE FROM
THE HUB INNER SIDE.
N.B.
WHEN FITTING THE BEARINGS ON THE ENGINE CRANK-
CASE, SUPPORT THE CRANKCASE PREFERABLY ON A
SURFACE TO ALLOW THE BEARINGS TO BE DRIVEN
VERTICALLY.
