Installing the device in a housing or a control cabinet
The SITOP UPS1600s are built-in units. They must be installed in a housing or control
cabinet where only qualified personnel have access.
The device can be mounted in a control cabinet on standard TH35×7.5/15 mounting rails
(according to EN 60715).
If the device is to be used in a hazardous zone (II 3G Ex nA nC IIC T4 Gc) it must be
installed in a distribution box with degree of protection IP54 or higher. This distribution box
must comply with the requirements of EN 60079-15.
To mount the device, position it with the mounting rail guide at the upper edge of the
standard mounting rail and press down to lock it into place. If this is too difficult, press slider
⑩ at the same time, as described under "Removal".
To remove, carefully open the slider ⑩ using a screwdriver or by hand (see Figure 5-1
Removal (example 6EP4136-3AB00-2AY0) (Page 188)) and disengage the device at the
bottom edge of the standard mounting rail. Then you can remove the device from the upper
edge of the standard mounting rail.
