SIMATIC STEP 7 in the TIA Portal
3.3.1
The uninterruptible power supply SITOP UPS1600 can be used with SIMATIC STEP 7 in the
TIA Portal from Version 12 with service pack 1 (SP1). From SW version V2.2, STEP 7 can
be used in the TIA Portal from Version 13 with service pack 1.
In SIMATIC STEP 7 in the TIA Portal , the basic device SITOP UPS1600 and its battery
modules SITOP UPS1100 can be integrated in projects, parameterized and diagnosed.
Note
If you wish to use SIMATIC
STEP 7 V13 in the TIA Portal, then you must install the
appropriate Hardware Support Package (HSP) or the appropriate generic station description
file (GSD) in order to use the SITOP UPS1600 and the supplementary modules. This step is
not required from SIMATIC STEP 7 V14 in the TI
A Portal. Using SITOP UPS1600 with HSP
is only possible from TIA Version V13; in TIA Version12, only using GSD.

SITOP UPS Manager cannot simultaneously access SITOP UPS1600. The service
UPS Managers may not run while the system is accessed via TIA.
